If the Drop is embedded into the sauna lower bench, 550 mm must be above the bench surface.
Huum heaters are presented with rounded stones, that have a benefit of creating less dust and better air circulation, but just as well regular heater stones can be used, but note that only small stones will fit.
Stainless steel
Remove the stones from the heater once per year, for inspection, replace any broken stones or stones with calcium or other deposit, and re-insert the stones carefully.
Huum Drop product guide
NOTE: The Drop is not a large heater, so it goes well into smaller saunas, not large saunas. First, calculate your sauna volume and for each sqm of glass or tile surface add 1 m³ to the calculation. We recommend to choose the power version for your sauna on the upper side (so for a 6 m³ sauna choose the 6 kW instead of the 4,5 kW.
Also, we recommend to avoid the 9 kW model, as that is a lot of power for such a compact heater, and the internals of the heater operate very hot, not good for longevity. Similarly if the sauna room is large, the heater will be working very hard and hot to heat it up, which is not good.
We recommend to install the Drop as low on the wall as possible (100 mm from the floor), not like in many pictures you see on the internet where this heater is installed quite high on the wall.
